Qatar Post launches FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Poster stamp set

Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) has announced the launch of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Poster stamp set.
This comes as part of the agreement with Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) under which Qatar Post became the official Licensee for stamps category for the tournament that will be hosted by Qatar this year.
Similar to the previous issues, the launch of the Official Poster stamp set comes in co-operation with FIFA the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), and within the Qatar Post’s mandate to document all events, celebrations and preparations managed by Qatar to host the upcoming tournament.
Through distinctive designs, each stamp embodies the unique culture of Qatar that will host matches for the first ever FIFA World Cup played in an Arab country. The stamp issue will be sold to the public for QR15. As a first stage 20,000 copies, 3,000 First Day issue envelopes, 3,000 Postcards and 2,000 VIP folders have been printed.
On the occasion, Faleh al-Naemi, chairman and managing director of Qatar Post said: “We are pleased to present to the world a set of stamps for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Poster. These distinctive and uniquely designed masterpieces are inspired by our authentic Qatari heritage and rich culture. We continue to be proud to cooperate with FIFA and the Supreme Committee for delivery & Legacy to launch this series of stamp editions, which falls within the Qatar Post program to document all events, occasions and preparations related to hosting the most anticipated and the biggest football tournament in the world”.
Qatar Post has invited its Customers and philatelic collectors in Qatar and around the world to enjoy the newly released edition as part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
