QIIB sponsored the Phoenix Games Fitness Championship held in Aspire Zone from June 15-18. This came within the "framework of QIIB’s pioneering role in community service and its contribution to the booming in the field of sports and events organised at the local level", the bank said in a statement.

The tournament was held with the participation of more than 200 athletes of 35 nationalities, who competed in a range of sporting activities that focused on strength and endurance.
"The tournament received great attention and follow-up as it is one of the distinguished events hosted by Doha," the statement noted.
