Qatar’s volleyball players celebrate after winning the gold medal at the GCC Games in Kuwait yesterday. In their final round robin match, Qatar beat the UAE 25-14, 25-14 25-16 to finish their campaign with five consecutive victories and without dropping single game. At the end of day 12 of the regional Games, Qatar are in fourth spot with 13 gold, 19 silver and 13 bronze which makes a total of 45 medals. The medal tally is led by Kuwait who have clinched a total of 28 gold, 21 silver and 26 bronze medals.
