Qatar Post has signed an agreement with the owner of Mzad Qatar website to launch an online auction to sell a number of fancy post office (PO) box numbers, local Arabic daily 'Arrayah' reported. The first edition of this auction will begin Saturday and continue until Tuesday on three special numbers of triple figures each. The terms and conditions of the auction include that the numbers of these PO boxes on offer will be registered at the main headquarters of Qatar Post at the Corniche Area, which cannot be transferred or re-registered at another area.
The winners will have to pay the annual fees for the PO boxes at Qatar Post. In addition, the winner should register the new number within three working days of the bidding and pay all the necessary fees in addition to its value. All bidders should pay a security sum of 1% of the set value to participate in the bidding process. Further, Mazd Qatar website would collect administrative fees of QR500 from each winner, the daily added.
