The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) participated in the Challenge and Innovation Forum (CIF) Qatar 2021 as an official sponsor.
The event was organised by the Qatar Scientific Club from November 7-11.
A Kahramaa statement on Monday explained that its innovations and creative projects were showcased at a pavilion in the forum, highlighting the efforts to achieve sustainability and the comprehensive development goals set by Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Kahramaa pavilion witnessed good turnout and interaction with the attendees and visitors.
Officials gave a detailed presentation of their inventions and their benefits in the fields of energy, water and sustainability.
The Kahramaa pavilion received HE the Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, HE the Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali, HE the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohamed bin Ali bin Mohamed al-Mannai, and HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Buthaina bint Ali al-Jabr al-Nuaimi, as well as a number of officials and dignitaries.
The forum included a competition for inventions and projects, and the jury featured a number of experts and engineers working in Kahramaa.
Several visits to Kahramaa Awareness Park were organised for visitors and inventors from 38 countries.
Kahramaa’s participation in the forum comes in the context of the institution's support for local talents and development of their capabilities, and the encouragement of creative ideas and promising projects and the corporation’s belief in the need to provide care and attention to these capabilities in order to raise the level of institutional performance.
Engineer Abdullah Mohsen al-Wahidi, director of Shared Services Affairs at Kahramaa, stated that the corporation is always keen to participate in events and programmes that invest in the human element.
Kahramaa participated in the closing ceremony where it received a certificate of honour and appreciation from the organisers.
