The month-long campaign reached a total of 500 workers, drivers and technicians of the Mechanical Eq

The first phase of the security and safety campaign for workers, drivers and technicians, carried out by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), concluded on Thursday.
The programme in English and Urdu was conducted by the Awareness Section of the Public Relations Department in co-operation with the Mechanical Equipment Department and the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS).
The month-long campaign reached a total of 500 workers, drivers and technicians of the Mechanical Equipment Department.
They were trained in the most important precautionary measures to address the coronavirus in workplaces.
The campaign is one of the sustainable projects that accompany the awareness strategy to achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Detailed explanations were provided by specialists and trainers from the QRCS to confront emergencies, disasters, and pandemics like the coronavirus.
At the end of the campaign, Public Relations Department director Nasser Abdul Rahman al-Sarami and Sherida Sultan al-Rumaihi, the director of the Mechanical Equipment Department, honoured the employees who made the campaign a success.
QRCS representatives were also honoured in appreciation of their efforts and dedication to the campaign.
